Research association 'Kupferstichkabinett Online' (Printroom Online)
The research association 'Kupferstichkabinett Online' (Printroom Online), funded by the Ministery for Science and Culture in Lower Saxony by resources from the Niedersächsisches Vorab of the Volkswagen Foundation, collaborated in the fields of cataloguing and research on Early Modern Prints (2014-2017/2018-2020):
- the HAUM and the HAB cataloguing 62,000 prints: 40.000 prints from the Braunschweiger Kupferstichkabinett of the HAUM (the Italian, Dutch & Flemish, English and French schools) and 22.000 selected prints from the HAB are being published through the research platform Virtuelles Kupferstichkabinett (Virtual Printroom)
- the Deutsches Dokumentationszentrum für Kunstgeschichte - Bildarchiv Foto Marburg of the Philips-Universität Marburg providing standardised iconographic indexation
- the Kunstgeschichtliches Seminar of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen with regard to scholarly research on the history of print collecting
- Funding doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships for scholarly research are complementing the cataloguing and online publication process
The new revised online portal of the 'Virtuelles Kupferstichkabinett' fostering access by providing different search variants is online since summer 2017.
